John Daniel & Iris Faye Morrison St George's Family

I know that no blog would be complete without a family history as complete as possible. In the attempt to do this I realize there might be problems because of family pictures, some old, some new, some in color, some not, so I ask all to accept this post as is, and be blessed to know that you are part of a wonderful loving St George -Morrison family.

                                                     THIS IS THE BEGINNING

This picture was taken in Southport, NC in about 1934 with my Mother Laura Larsen St George, my Dad Edward Franklin St George, my sister Frances Christine, and me, John Daniel.

Thanksgiving gathering at Ometa and Bill's in Beaufort SC in 2009.
Everyone present except Dan's family, and I know traveling over
1000 miles to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner was just too much to ask.
We certainly missed all of you.

St George Gathering at Cherry Grove Beach, SC  1999

Morrison family gathering at Susan and Gary Umstead's home in Raleigh, NC

THESE PICTURES ARE PROBABLY FOND MEMORIES FOR SOME,  BUT MAYBE NEW TO OTHERS

My last tie to Southport.Mother's house was sold to 2 Professors
from UNC Chapel Hill. Sad to report, he passed away 2
weeks after this photo was taken.

I loved working with these flowers. A snooze in
hammock was not hard to take either.

Faye really enjoyed both the sun and the pool

This lighthouse was kept lit and used so
the children could always find their way
home to visit.
.

You just can't beat  beautiful girls, and pretty flowers.

It is great to have a son Eddie, and grandson Brian
that are able to replace a broken sill under the house.

FAMILY COOKOUTS

It can't get any better than the following 2 pictures.
Pig picking at Bill & Lisa  Parker's in Knightsdale NC.
The pig is cooked, ready for any way you desire to prepare it.

Second picture from the home of Dan & Allyson St George
in Marblehead MA.I believe I ate 3 of those delicious lobsters.

. .

We are so proud of Barbara. These awards and honors awarded
her for the work she is still doing for the Lions Club. She was district
Governor of over 40 Lion Clubs. and was installed as Governor in Hong Kong.
There is another wall half covered with more awards.

After 7 years of sea duty in Navy and Merchant Marine I had
to take a 2 week paid cruise in the Mediterranean to say I had been in a
ship wreck.. Wish I could say that Barbara and I were rescued
by the Italian Navy, but it happened in Palermo, Sicily as we
were trying to dock in a 50 knot.wind.This is the first ship wreck
of the COSTA CONCORDIA.

PARTING THOUGHTS

I hope this brings the St George-Morrison family tree to full bloom. As I asked
earlier for all to please look, read, and enjoy what I have tried to do, so each
family member will be able to reconize others they have never met, and
rekindle many great memories of the past.

As I bring this post to closure my prayer is that probably there will be no
more Grandchildren, but may the family be blessed with many, many more Great
Grandchildren.

ALWAYS REMEMBER., GOD LOVES YOU, AND I LOVE YOU
